A Flock Of Seagulls is made up of Mike Score (vocals, keyboards), his brother Ali Score (drums), Paul Reynolds (guitar) and Frank Maudsley (bass), through the members have come and gone over the years. The synth-pop band formed in 1979 in Liverpool, and they were known by many for Mike's famous 'seagull-like haircut', which even featured in the popular show 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' as 'College Chandler's' haircut.

One of the band's most-loved songs "Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You)" makes a comeback in this CD Single with fresh new recordings, letting you hear the track as if through new ears. The song was released as part of the album: "Wishing" which came out in 1996, but its very first release was over a decade earlier on Tanzbare Musik in 1981. It reached Top 10 status in the USA in 1982, as well as being a Top 40 hit in 1983.

There are seven tracks on the single, offering a plethora of variety."Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You)" opens with the modernised "Extended Remix" with snare-like electronic slaps. An instrumental version of this remix is also on the single. Next up is a remix by Ilya Santana from the Canary Islands, who has remixed the likes of Human League, Dolly Parton, Lindstrom & the Phenomenal Handclap Band. Here you can expect a transcendental rendition, blessing the song with an innovative mystical feel. Again, an instrumental version of this track is included. A contrasting remix by Chris Coco, who has fittingly been working as a DJ since the acid house explosion of the late 80s, delivers confident synths and a deep electronic overtone, using substantial reverb on all the vocals. The Soda Pimps Remix is a shorter, sunny variation. The last track on the single is an "Orchestral Version" recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra which most definitely does not fail to deliver drama and elevating intensity.

Last year the band appeared on record together for the first time since 1984. The "Ascension" album was recorded in multiple studios around the world and featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra providing backing to their hits.
